Whitney Osuigwe: 15-year old Nigerian-American making waves in International Junior Tennis



Whitney Osuigwe, born on April 17 2002 in Bradenton, Florida, U.S to Desmond Osuigwe, a professional tennis coach originally from Nigeria, is making a name for herself in Junior Tennis.
Only recently, Whitney became the reigning champion of the Junior French Open Tournament after beating fellow American Claire Liu.
Now ranking as the number 1 Junior girls player in the world, according to theInternational Tennis Federation, Whitney Osuigwe is currently on track to win her second major Tennis tournament this year  after advancing to the quarterfinals of the ongoing Wimbledon Championships girls’ singles tournament.
But don’t be deceived; though young (15 years old), Whitney’s wins are by no means the result of an overnight success story.
Whitney’s father, a staff coach at the world renowned IMG Sports Academy, with over 25 years of experience, has had Whitney on the Tennis court since the age of six and over the years Whitney has advanced through the various levels of the academy’s training program. Whitney Osuigwe only successfully turned pro this year.
With persistence and hard work Whitney Osuigwe has become a heavy hitter and is likely to go on making waves. We are seriously rooting for her!

Roger Federer climbs ATP rankings [See top 20] 2017

Roger Federer climbed to third place in the latest ATP rankings released on Monday. This came a day after he claimed his record 8th Wimbledon title. His 19th grand slam win saw Federer jump two places up the rankings, which is still dominated by Britain’s Andy Murray, who was eliminated from Wimbledon in the quarter-finals. Startup Raises $20 Million to Build 'YouTube on the Blockchain'

Silicon Valley startup Lino is preparing to take on YouTube with a decentralized, collectively-owned video content distribution system that purports to cut out the middleman to more fairly compensate content creators. The company, which faces competition from Streamspace, Flixxo, Viuly and Stream, all of which are developing similar concepts, received a $20 million vote of confidence from prominent Chinese seed investor Zhenfund during a private token sale, it   announced   today. Explaining the company's mission, its website says that YouTube holds "enormous power" over creators and focuses on maximizing profit, which can bring it into conflict with its actual creators. The site continues: "The solution is to create a collectively owned, decentralized means of distribution, which ensures all content value is directly distributed to content creators and affiliated contributors without going through a privately owned entity as a middleman....

Good news for  Chelsea  fans!  Antonio Conte  has just signed a two-year contract extension with us that'll see him stay at Stamford Bridge till 2021. Speaking to Chelsea FC's official website about his new contract, Conte said: "'I  am very happy to have signed a new contract with Chelsea. Nigeria to supply 130,000 tonnes of roasted cashew nuts to US

The Minister of Agriculture and Rural Development, Audu Ogbeh, has said Nigeria is set to supply 130,000 tonnes of roasted cashew nuts to the Walmart Super Market chain in the United States of America. He said the 130,000 cashew is valued at $7 billion. Chief Ogbeh said the US firm came to Nigeria to request for 130,000 tonnes of roasted cashew nuts and their demand is 130,000 tonnes of cashew nuts per annum, with a total value of $7 billion. “We are in conversations with Walmart, the biggest supermarket chain in the US. They came here and asked us to roast cashew nuts for them. “What Nigeria currently does is ship the nuts to Vietnam, which in turn roasts and sell to the US.
