John Heard, Home Alone Actor Dies At 72



Heard was found dead in a hotel by the maid service ... according to family sources. Police were called to the hotel for a report of a medical emergency, but he was pronounced dead on the scene. The coroner is investigating, and cause of death is unclear at this time ... but police do not suspect foul play.

We do know this ... according to his rep, John had "minor back surgery" Wednesday at Stanford Medical Center, and he was staying at the hotel while he recovered.

Heard's most iconic role was as Peter McCallister, the dad in the "Home Alone" movies.

He also had roles in "Big," "Beaches," "Gladiator" and "Pelican Brief" -- to name just a few -- and also a slew of TV roles on "Miami Vice," "The Sopranos" ... and even the first "Sharknado."

John was 71.

The huge aircraft , dubbed ‘the flying penthouse’ features an entertainment and study lounge, dedicated dining spaces, an en-suite master bedroom with a 42-inch TV, a dressing room and an enormous hotel-style bathroom complete with a shower.  The plane is a remodelled Boeing 787 Dreamliner which is a commercial aircraft that carry between 240 and 335 passengers. Unpaid Salaries: Benue State Civil Servant And Father Of 3 Resort To Hawking Groundnut To Survive

Mr Godwin Oga, a 46 year old staff of Benue State Environmental Sanitation Agency (BENSESA) has resorted to hawking groundnuts on the streets of Makurdi, the state capital. Lagos State Task Force Arrests Man Who Allegedly Kidnapped A 6-month-old Baby In Oshodi

The operatives of the Lagos State Task Force during an over-night patrol arrested a 31-year-old man who allegedly abducted a 6 months old baby girl, Darasimi Akinyemi at No 55, Oshodi Road, Oshodi, Lagos The Chairman of the Lagos State Task Force SP Olayinka Egbeyemi disclosed that the suspect identified as Idama Endurance would have been lynched to death but the quick intervention of his men who were on duty saved the situations. East African singer, Diamond Platumz's babymama, Zari Hassan has lost her mom Halima Hassan. This is coming barely two months after the death of her ex-husband, Ivan Semwanga. Google Play Protect Now Rolling Out To Android Devices

Google Play Protect is now rolling out to all eligible Android devices, the Alphabet-owned Internet giant confirmed in a statement provided to Engadget. The latest anti-malware solution is being distributed to smartphones and tablets running Google Mobile Services (GMS) 11 and later versions of the API collection, the company said. The Mountain View, California-based firm is currently focused on rolling out the main Google Play Protect system service that’s integrated into the Settings app on your device, where you’ll find it located under the “Security” section of the “Google” menu. The solution itself is relatively automated in nature and will automatically scan all of the apps installed on your smartphone or tablet to make sure they are free of any malicious code. The service will also notify you of any suspicious findings, but if you’re interested in performing a manual check or revisiting its scanning logs, you can do so in its settings. Different people, Different Cultures! So there is a Crying Baby Contest (Naki Sumo) that holds in Japan every year. This year, the competition held at the Shinto shrine in Yokohama, near Tokyo on Monday July 17th. The contest pairs up little toddlers with sumo wrestlers who will attempt to get the babies to cry. The toddler who cries the longest and loudest is crowned the winner. As bizarre as it may be, the crying baby contest has been practised by Japenese indigenes for well over 400 years. Japanese parents voluntarily bring their babies to the contest, and truly believe that sumo-induced crying keeps their children in good health.
