Trump’s Son-In-Law To Appear Before Senate





President Donald Trump’s son-in-law and senior adviser, Jared Kushner is scheduled to be interviewed by the Senate Intelligence Committee on July 24 behind closed doors to answer questions about the Trump campaign’s alleged connections to Russia.

Kushner is one of the closest associates of the president to be called to speak to lawmakers involved in probing Russian meddling in the 2016 U.S. presidential election and possible collusion with the Trump campaign.

Trump, who came into office in January, has been dogged by allegations that his campaign officials were connected to Russia, which U.S. intelligence agencies have accused of interfering in last year’s election.

Trump has denied any collusion.

The U.S. House Intelligence Committee said it will interview Kushner regarding the allegations on Tuesday, July 25.

Victoria Beckham has been called out by the design director at Land Rover after she claimed she designed a special edition of the Range Rover for her husband David Beckham. Eddie and his family died on Sunday at the Federal Teaching Hospital Abakaliki Ebonyi State, following severe burns sustained from the incident. However Briefing newsmen in Abakaliki, the Ebonyi State capital, the chairman of SWAN, Mr. Chukwuemeka Opara, said Eddie died as a result of gas explosion which occurred in their compound in Ikom, Cross River State, three weeks ago. The incident reportedly affected his entire household, including his neighbour in whose flat the explosion happened. APC Sweeps Lagos LG Polls

The All Progressives Congress has reportedly won the council election held in all the 20 Local Government Areas and the 37 Local Council Development Areas on Saturday. Early results released by the Lagos Television showed that the APC took several LGAs and LCDAs including Ojokoro, Eti Osa, Lagos Island, Badagry Central, Onigbongbo, Odiolowo/Ojuwoye, Ikorodu West, Ejigbo, Ikeja, Ikorodu, Epe, Lagos Island East, Badagry West, Surulere, Ikorodu Central, Ikoyi/Obalende, Agboyi-Ketu, Eredo and others. Some of the results from the LGs and LCDAs showed the ruling party winning. In Lagos Island LG, APC won with 14,692 votes while PDP got 925 votes, with the Labour Party taking third place with 1211 votes.
