Victoria Beckham gets attacked over her claim that she "designed" a Range Rover for husband David by the man who really designed it

Victoria Beckham has been called out by the design director at Land Rover after she claimed she designed a special edition of the Range Rover for her husband David Beckham. At the launch of a special VB Evoque, the former Spice Girl claimed: "I’ve designed a car that I want to drive, a car I think David wants to drive." This claim incensed Gerry McGovern, the real designer, and he addressed it at a public event last week. He accused Victoria of exaggerating the part she played in creating the car.  He said: "She didn’t design the car… I’ve forgotten more than that woman will ever know about (car) designing – to be a car designer takes years.  When we went to China to present it, she stood up in front of the world’s press and said, 'When I designed this car…' I said, 'Victoria, that wasn’t on the script.' She said, 'Oh, I didn’t realise what I was saying.' National Vice-President of the Sports Writers Association of Nigeria, South-South Zone Mr. Eddie Bekon, his wife and child dies rom a terrible gas explosion

Eddie and his family died on Sunday at the Federal Teaching Hospital Abakaliki Ebonyi State, following severe burns sustained from the incident. However Briefing newsmen in Abakaliki, the Ebonyi State capital, the chairman of SWAN, Mr. Chukwuemeka Opara, said Eddie died as a result of gas explosion which occurred in their compound in Ikom, Cross River State, three weeks ago. The incident reportedly affected his entire household, including his neighbour in whose flat the explosion happened. Opara said, “Sports Writers Association of Nigeria, Ebonyi chapter, joins other chapters across the nation to mourn its departed National Vice President, South-South zone, Mr. Eddie Bekon, who passed on at the Federal Teaching Hospital, Abakaliki, on Sunday, July 16, 2017.” Opara disclosed that the family had been in the Intensive Care Unit at the hospital since they were admitted, stating that the explosion claimed the lives of Eddie’s wife and one of his children, while his other children...

APC Sweeps Lagos LG Polls

The All Progressives Congress has reportedly won the council election held in all the 20 Local Government Areas and the 37 Local Council Development Areas on Saturday. Early results released by the Lagos Television showed that the APC took several LGAs and LCDAs including Ojokoro, Eti Osa, Lagos Island, Badagry Central, Onigbongbo, Odiolowo/Ojuwoye, Ikorodu West, Ejigbo, Ikeja, Ikorodu, Epe, Lagos Island East, Badagry West, Surulere, Ikorodu Central, Ikoyi/Obalende, Agboyi-Ketu, Eredo and others. Some of the results from the LGs and LCDAs showed the ruling party winning. In Lagos Island LG, APC won with 14,692 votes while PDP got 925 votes, with the Labour Party taking third place with 1211 votes. APC also won in Ikoyi-Obalende LCDA with 7112 votes, PDP got 756 votes while LP got 542 votes. In Eredo LCDA, APC received 10910 votes while PDP got 737 votes. Minister of Finance, Kemi Adeosun, has stated the country is already out of recession “to an extent.” She said this while speaking on African Independent Television (AIT). “We are out, we’re out to an extent and we hope that the figures will reflect the fact that we’re out. We shouldn’t focus too much on when, what we should focus on is growth. The huge aircraft , dubbed ‘the flying penthouse’ features an entertainment and study lounge, dedicated dining spaces, an en-suite master bedroom with a 42-inch TV, a dressing room and an enormous hotel-style bathroom complete with a shower.  The plane is a remodelled Boeing 787 Dreamliner which is a commercial aircraft that carry between 240 and 335 passengers. But this one has been transformed into a 40-passenger private jet and is so well-equipped it resembles a flying hotel. The aircraft, which is worth £230 million, is on display at the London airport as part of the launch  of bespoke travel packages by Deer Jet.
