No division between President Buhari, Vice President Osinbanjo and Ministers - Lai Mohammed


Minister of Information and Culture, Lai Mohammed, has denied speculations that there is rift between President Buhari, acting president Yemi Osinbajo and some Ministers. Lai refuted the speculation when he spoke with newsmen at the venue of an event organised by the Aviation Round Table, an industry pressure group, in Lagos.
“There is no division between the Acting President and the Cabinet, there is no division between the Acting President and Mr President,” he told newsmen
The Minister in his interview called on the media to be responsible in its reportage, particularly with reports that contain hate speeches. 
“Most of the people who consume these hate speeches don’t know much better, otherwise they will know that there is absolutely no truth in what is being circulated. All these talks about division, I think they are just fictions of the imagination but they have a purpose which is to weaken this government, to ensure that we are distracted and I’m happy that we as a government, we are resolved that this is a very trying time of Nigeria and we must all put in our best to ensure that this country remains one”he said

The South Korean  megahit  had been the site's most-played clip for the last five years. The surreal video became so popular that it  "broke" YouTube's play counter , exceeding the maximum possible number of views (2,147,483,647), and forcing the company to  rewrite its code . But the song has now been overtaken by another music video - Wiz Khalifa and Charlie Puth's  See You Again . The heart-wrenching ballad has now been streamed 2,895,373,709 times; beating Psy's current count of 2,894,426,475 views. Plot To Islamise Nigeria Is Real – Nnamdi Kanu

Leader of the Indigenous People of Biafra, IPOB, Mazi Nnamdi Kanu, yesterday, said that the plot to Islamise Nigeria is real but would be resisted. Kanu said that no part of Nigeria within Biafra territory will be islamised in his life time. The IPOB leader said this while addressing a huge crowd of Biafra activists when he visited Nri, the ancestral home of Ndigbo. At Nri, Kanu, who was accompanied by his wife, visited the historic “Ohianwehi” revered as “forest of life” by Igbo tradition. WAEC Releases Results For 2017 May/June WASSCE

There was improvement in the performance of Nigerian candidates after the West African Examination Council (WAEC) on Monday released the results for the 2017 May/June West African Senior School Examinations (WASSCE). A breakdown of the result as announced by the council’s Head of National Office, Monday, Mr Olu Adenipekun, showed that 923,486 candidates representing 59.22 per cent obtained a minimum of credits in five subjects and above including English Language and Mathematics. He observed that 59.22%, percent performance of candidates that obtained five (5) credits and above including English Language and Mathematics in the WASSCE for School Candidates represents an improvement to the result in 2015 and 2016 which was 38.68% and 52.97%, respectively. The percentage of candidates who attained this feat in 2014, 2015 and 2016 diets were 31.28 per cent, 38.68 per cent and 52.97 per cent respectively.
