Details of Morata’s transfer to Chelsea revealed



More details have emerged, after Chelsea confirmed on Wednesday, that they have reached an agreement with Real Madrid for Alvaro Morata.

The Premier League champions will pay an initial fee of £58million for the 24-year-old striker, who is set to discuss personal terms and undergo a medical.

It is almost £20m less than the initial £75m Manchester United paid for Romelu Lukaku, who had been Chelsea’s top target.

The £58m will still eclipse Chelsea’s previous record spend of £50m on Fernando Torres in 2011. It is believed the add-ons could see the final fee rise towards £70m.

Morata is currently in the US on a pre-season tour with Madrid, but will now leave to complete the deal.

Baltimore police officer allegedly plants drugs at scene of a drug arrest not knowing his body cam was recording (video)

A video recording of a Baltimore police officer planting evidence at the scene of a drug arrest, allegedly so he can arrest a suspect, was captured by the officer's body cam without his knowledge. In the video, the officer can be seen planting the drugs in a cup then walking out to of the area go put on his body camera before returning to the same spot to search for the drugs. "I'm going to check here. Hold on," he said for the benefit of the body cam as though he were just going to that spot for the first time. The officer pretended to search around for some time before he brought out the container where he had earlier hidden the drugs and acted like he just found it. Regulators are in uncharted territory trying to regulate illegal cryptocurrency public coin offerings, US officials told Congress today. Startup Raises $20 Million to Build 'YouTube on the Blockchain'

Silicon Valley startup Lino is preparing to take on YouTube with a decentralized, collectively-owned video content distribution system that purports to cut out the middleman to more fairly compensate content creators. The company, which faces competition from Streamspace, Flixxo, Viuly and Stream, all of which are developing similar concepts, received a $20 million vote of confidence from prominent Chinese seed investor Zhenfund during a private token sale, it   announced   today. A renown Yoruba veteran actor, broadcaster, poet and writer, Chief Adebayo Faleti has passed away. Adebayo, an old student of Ibadan Boys High School died Sunday morning at University College Hospital, Ibadan at about 6. am according to sources. Chief Adebayo who happened to be one of the pioneer staff of the first television station in Africa, Western Nigeria Television (WNTV) died at the age of 86. He was responsible for translating Nigeria’s National Anthem from English to Yoruba. He also translated speeches being made by military president of Nigeria Ibrahim Babangida and Chief Ernest Shonekan, Head of National Interim Government of Nigeria, from English to Yoruba.
