Gov. Okowa honours best graduating student with automatic employment


Delta State governor Ifeanyi Okowa has offered Mr Joshua Erubami, the best graduating student of Delta State University for the 2015/2016 academic session with an automatic employment as a reward for hardwork and dignity.

Erubami who graduated from the department of Mass Communication was also the President of the Faculty of Social Science Students Association (SOSSA) during his time and graduated with a CGPA of 4.86

Currently serving the nation in Ekiti State under the NYSC Scheme, Erubami will resume as a Graduate Assistant at Delta State University when he completes his service year.

Nigeria: 37 Feared Killed in Fresh Southern Kaduna Crisis

At least 37 people are feared killed and many others seriously injured in fresh crisis that broke out in Kajuru Local Government Area in Southern Kaduna. The latest trouble was said to have started since Sunday when some Fulani youths allegedly went to a village at Ugwan Uka to avenge the killing of their kinsman. Kajuru Local Government is about 50 kilometres from the state capital, Kaduna. The fresh killings show that the efforts by the government at the state and federal levels to check violence have not been effective. The umbrella body of Fulani, the Miyetti Allah Cattle Breeders Association of Nigeria on Saturday alleged that four of its members were killed by youths from the troubled Southern Kaduna. The group had alleged that youths from Kadara and Gwari communities in Kajuru were responsible for the killings. Acting President Yemi Osinbajo today received the founder of the Malala Fund and girls’ education activist, Malala Yousafzai at the Presidential Villa in Abuja. Malala, the Pakistani school girl who survived an attack by the Taliban, met with the Acting President at the State House in Abuja as part of activities to mark her visit to Nigeria which is the second in three years. World’s First Skyscraper Designed To Hang Suspended From An Asteroid

So far, we’ve had sky gardens in China and floating cities in the Pacific, but experimental architectural design has just gone a step further into the future. New York-based architects have revealed their plans for a skyscraper to hang suspended from an asteroid 50,000 kilometers (31,000 miles) in the air. Clouds Architecture Office, the people who brought us the Mars Ice Home design, have released artwork and plans for their Analemma Tower – a skyscraper that will not only be the world’s “tallest” but also hang suspended from a harnessed asteroid orbiting the Earth.
