CHELSEA TO OFFER €80M FOR MORATA

Chelsea are ready to offer €80 million for Real Madrid striker Alvaro Morata after missing out on Romelu Lukaku, according to AS .
Morata had seemingly been on course to join Manchester United, with Chelsea having been favourites to sign Lukaku, but the situation has now been turned on its head.
With Lukaku on the brink of finalising a move to United, Premier League champions Chelsea will try to sign Morata on either a four or five-year contract.

The Spaniard who scored 20 goals last season is unhappy at Madrid where his first team opportunities are limited and will consider making the switch to Chelsea where he will be tasked with leading the line.

This viral photo shows a Catholic Christian man praying alongside Muslims in the Wadi el-Joz neighbourhood, outside the Old City of Jerusalem. According to CNN, the man identified as Nidal Aboud stood out as one among many. As the men around him bowed, he made the sign of the cross. As they chanted their prayers, he read the Bible to himself. And as they said "Allahu Akbar" -- God is greatest -- he stood silently and respectfully. He was the only Christian among thousands of Muslims at the Friday prayers. The photo has been widely shared on social network sites as a touching example of cooperation in a time of conflict. Nigerians should expect new data price soon – NCC

The Nigeria Communications Commission (NCC) has said Nigerians should expect a new data price as soon as an on-going cost-based research is concluded. This was disclosed in Abuja by the Executive Vice Chairman of the NCC, Umar Garba Dambatta during a chat with DAILY POST. According to him, the commission had noticed that the level of data usage was growing across the country and there was need for an affordable and acceptable price floor for data. He said this was necessary in order to forestall a price war in the data sub-segment of the telecommunications industry. The tumor was discovered after the former Republican senator underwent a procedure last week to remove a blood clot. A former Minister of Education, Dr. Oby Ezekwesili, has called out the Nigerian Senate for directing the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN) to supply dollars at a subsidised exchange rate of N200 to intending pilgrims. In a series of tweets on her verified Tweeter handle on Saturday morning, @obyezeks, the Bring Back our Girls (BBOG) co-Convener, lashed out at the lawmakers describing them as “feeling entitled to an indulgent life”. The Senate had in its bid to bring down the cost of pilgrimage recommended the concession of N200 to $1 by the CBN to intending pilgrims, despite the CBN’s benchmark of N305 to $1 for the 2017 Hajj operations.
