Roger Federer climbs ATP rankings [See top 20] 2017



Roger Federer climbed to third place in the latest ATP rankings released on Monday.

This came a day after he claimed his record 8th Wimbledon title.

His 19th grand slam win saw Federer jump two places up the rankings, which is still dominated by Britain’s Andy Murray, who was eliminated from Wimbledon in the quarter-finals.

Rafael Nadal, knocked out in the fourth round, holds on to second place.

Trump’s Son-In-Law To Appear Before Senate

President Donald Trump’s son-in-law and senior adviser, Jared Kushner is scheduled to be interviewed by the Senate Intelligence Committee on July 24 behind closed doors to answer questions about the Trump campaign’s alleged connections to Russia. Kushner is one of the closest associates of the president to be called to speak to lawmakers involved in probing Russian meddling in the 2016 U.S. presidential election and possible collusion with the Trump campaign. Trump, who came into office in January, has been dogged by allegations that his campaign officials were connected to Russia, which U.S. intelligence agencies have accused of interfering in last year’s election. She began studying for her doctorate at 78 years old, and it’s taken her eight years to complete her studies. An 18-day-old baby has died after she contracted a life-threatening herpes infection through a kiss. Baby Mariana was born healthy on July 1, however, on July 7, which was her parents' wedding day, she became ill and had to be rushed to the hospital where doctors tried unsuccessfully to save her life. Iowa couple, Shane and Nicole Sifrit had to cut their wedding reception short to take their 6-day-old daughter to the Blank Children's Hospital in Des Moines, Iowa, USA. At the hospital, doctors said the child had become infected with meningitis HSV-1, which is caused by the herpes virus. The virus is usually passed through sexual contact or transmitted from mother to child. Both parents of the child tested negative to the herpes virus, suggesting the baby had become infected through someone who had visited the family and kissed her. About 10 residents are missing and feared dead as residents told Channels Television that some who had attempted to leave their submerged homes for safety were swept away by the flood.
