Gov. Okowa honours best graduating student with automatic employment


Delta State governor Ifeanyi Okowa has offered Mr Joshua Erubami, the best graduating student of Delta State University for the 2015/2016 academic session with an automatic employment as a reward for hardwork and dignity.

Erubami who graduated from the department of Mass Communication was also the President of the Faculty of Social Science Students Association (SOSSA) during his time and graduated with a CGPA of 4.86

Currently serving the nation in Ekiti State under the NYSC Scheme, Erubami will resume as a Graduate Assistant at Delta State University when he completes his service year.

Nigerians should expect new data price soon – NCC

The Nigeria Communications Commission (NCC) has said Nigerians should expect a new data price as soon as an on-going cost-based research is concluded. This was disclosed in Abuja by the Executive Vice Chairman of the NCC, Umar Garba Dambatta during a chat with DAILY POST. According to him, the commission had noticed that the level of data usage was growing across the country and there was need for an affordable and acceptable price floor for data. He said this was necessary in order to forestall a price war in the data sub-segment of the telecommunications industry. Dambatta disclosed that the commission was looking at other temporary measures in other to ensure that data services improved. He said: “We have noticed that the level of data usage is growing. Good news for  Chelsea  fans!  Antonio Conte  has just signed a two-year contract extension with us that'll see him stay at Stamford Bridge till 2021. Speaking to Chelsea FC's official website about his new contract, Conte said: "'I  am very happy to have signed a new contract with Chelsea. Leader of the Indigenous People of Biafra, IPOB, Mazi Nnamdi Kanu, yesterday, said that the plot to Islamise Nigeria is real but would be resisted. Kanu said that no part of Nigeria within Biafra territory will be islamised in his life time. The Minister of Agriculture and Rural Development, Audu Ogbeh, has said Nigeria is set to supply 130,000 tonnes of roasted cashew nuts to the Walmart Super Market chain in the United States of America. He said the 130,000 cashew is valued at $7 billion. Chief Ogbeh said the US firm came to Nigeria to request for 130,000 tonnes of roasted cashew nuts and their demand is 130,000 tonnes of cashew nuts per annum, with a total value of $7 billion. “We are in conversations with Walmart, the biggest supermarket chain in the US. A 27-year-old woman from Nkumba Central, Wakiso District of Uganda has been found dead with stick stock in her private part. Residents of the area were left in shock yesterday after the body of the lady, identified as Rose Nakimuli, was found dumped at a banana plantation naked and a stick inserted in her private part.
