'We Are Not Running Any Recruitment Campaign Online' - NECO Issues Scam Alert

The National Examinations Council (NECO) has reacted to news making rounds concerning an online recruitment exercise credited to it.
In a statement released by Azeez Sani, the Head Information Division, 'the attention of the National Examinations Council (NECO) has been drawn to an On-line publication purporting that the Council is currently recruiting new members of staff'.
'The Council enjoins members of the public to disregard the publication, stating that since the present Registrar/Chief Executive assumed office on 1st of August, 2016 no single person has been employed'.
'The Council warns strongly that the publication is the imagination of fraudsters and states emphatically that it has not recruited, is not recruiting and has no immediate plan to recruit. NECO under the able leadership of the Registrar, Professor Charles Uwakwe is on the same page with the change mantra of the present administration of President Muhammadu Buhari, which is epitomised by transparency and zero tolerance for impunity'.

Popular musician Innocent Idibia also known as Tuface who is on a tour in Borno where he thrilled the troops and dedicated a song to the IDPs. The African Queen crooner emphasised the need for the peace to rain in the country, especially in the northeast. He commended the Nigerian Army for the gallant fight they are putting in the counter insurgency war. Tuface who is the ambassador of the UNHCR has been on a tour in Borno state interacting with displaced persons in Ngala and camps around Maiduguri. Biafra: Igbos can’t exist on their own – Ohanaeze chieftain

Anambra State chapter of pan Igbo socio-cultural organization, Ohaneze Ndigbo, has dismissed the call for secession, saying Igbos cannot afford to exist alone. Speaking in Awka, the state capital, President of Ohaneze in the state, Chief Damian Okeke, explained that Igbos can’t leave Nigeria because they have investments all over the country. Okeke said rather than call for secession, agitators should use their pro-Biafra stand as a platform to demand a better life for people of the South East.
