Popular musician Innocent Idibia also known as Tuface who is on a tour in Borno where he thrilled the troops and dedicated a song to the IDPs. The African Queen crooner emphasised the need for the peace to rain in the country, especially in the northeast. He commended the Nigerian Army for the gallant fight they are putting in the counter insurgency war. Tuface who is the ambassador of the UNHCR has been on a tour in Borno state interacting with displaced persons in Ngala and camps around Maiduguri. The partnership between the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees and ace singer Tuface Innocent Idibia is to give a voice to happenings in northeast Nigeria. A communication expert, Mr Olalekan Ajia, says good social media behaviour can aid the performance of students in schools. Ajia, a former Communication for Development Specialist at the United Nations, said this on Saturday at the 21st Annual Lecture of Ijebu Muslim College Old Students’ Association (IMCOSA) in Ijebu-Ode, Ogun. The lecture entitled, “ Influence of Social Media on Youth Education; Issues and Challenges,’’ looked at ways of checking abuse of the social media by youths. Victoria Beckham has been called out by the design director at Land Rover after she claimed she designed a special edition of the Range Rover for her husband David Beckham. At the launch of a special VB Evoque, the former Spice Girl claimed: "I’ve designed a car that I want to drive, a car I think David wants to drive." This claim incensed Gerry McGovern, the real designer, and he addressed it at a public event last week. Governor El-Rufai who broke in tears during the event held at Kaduna International Trade Fair described his late daughter as a wonderful child who had passion for the less privileged in the society. The governor said the foundation which is privately run has creative writing and women literacy programmes aimed at improving the literacy skills among women and children:” As I was watching the documentary, I cannot control tears in my eyes. She was a wonderful daughter. Apart from Yasmin,we also lost a son. The foundation is being run privately.
