Today Monday July 17th at the State house Abuja,His Excellency Festus Mogae, former President of Botswana presented to the acting President Osinbajo a National Workshop Report Titled "Preventing Violent Extremism in Nigeria: Effective Narratives and Messaging" (#telladifferentstory) during a courtesy visit by members of The World Leadership Alliance Club de Madrid, also in the photograph is His Excellency Cassam Uteem, former President of Mauritius.

A Santa Clara County Superior Court judge has sentenced a 26-year-old California man to 16 years in prison for killing 21 cats, some of which he lured from people's homes. Robert Roy Farmer pleaded guilty last year to 21 felony counts of animal cruelty and one count each of misdemeanor battery and being under the influence. The cats began mysteriously disappearing from San Jose's Cambrian Park neighborhood in September 2015. Then cats began turning up dead, the Mercury News of San Jose reported Friday Farmer was found Oct. 8, 2015 in a Home Depot parking lot, sleeping in his car with a dead cat curled up in the center console. Nigeria: 37 Feared Killed in Fresh Southern Kaduna Crisis

At least 37 people are feared killed and many others seriously injured in fresh crisis that broke out in Kajuru Local Government Area in Southern Kaduna. The latest trouble was said to have started since Sunday when some Fulani youths allegedly went to a village at Ugwan Uka to avenge the killing of their kinsman. Kajuru Local Government is about 50 kilometres from the state capital, Kaduna. The fresh killings show that the efforts by the government at the state and federal levels to check violence have not been effective. The umbrella body of Fulani, the Miyetti Allah Cattle Breeders Association of Nigeria on Saturday alleged that four of its members were killed by youths from the troubled Southern Kaduna. The group had alleged that youths from Kadara and Gwari communities in Kajuru were responsible for the killings. A major crisis is currently brewing at the ever-busy Apapa area of Lagos State as a mobile policeman, attached to a bank ,on Wharf Road, in the area, shot dead a tanker driver on Wednesday morning. Boko Haram Suicide Bombers Attack Two IDP Camps In Borno, Kill 7

Suspected Boko Haram suicide bombers last night attacked two IDP camps in Dalori, Borno state killing at least seven persons. According to eyewitnesses, the first attack happened at about 9pm last night while the second bomb attack happened in the early hours of today. Three persons were killed in the first attack while four otrhers were killed in the second one. 15 other IDPs sustained serious injuries and are currently receiving treatement at the state general hospital.
