Nigerians On Twitter Say Former Governors Serving As Senators Or Ministers Should Not Draw State Pension



Channels TV conducted a Twitter poll on the subject and Nigerians are overwhelmingly against the idea. Constitutionally, former governors are entitled to a sizeable pension.

Tuface Thrills Troops In Borno, Dedicates Song To IDPs

Popular musician Innocent Idibia also known as Tuface who is on a tour in Borno where he thrilled the troops and dedicated a song to the IDPs. The African Queen crooner emphasised the need for the peace to rain in the country, especially in the northeast. He commended the Nigerian Army for the gallant fight they are putting in the counter insurgency war. Tuface who is the ambassador of the UNHCR has been on a tour in Borno state interacting with displaced persons in Ngala and camps around Maiduguri. The partnership between the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees and ace singer Tuface Innocent Idibia is to give a voice to happenings in northeast Nigeria. The UNHCR Head of Missions in Borno, Caesar Tsav believes that in the coming days the partnership will yield more positive results. “We were in Ngala and he visited all the camps and he interacted with children, IDPs. Victoria Beckham has been called out by the design director at Land Rover after she claimed she designed a special edition of the Range Rover for her husband David Beckham. At the launch of a special VB Evoque, the former Spice Girl claimed: "I’ve designed a car that I want to drive, a car I think David wants to drive." Speaking to Chelsea FC's official website about his new contract, Conte said: "'I  am very happy to have signed a new contract with Chelsea. The governor said the foundation which is privately run has creative writing and women literacy programmes aimed at improving the literacy skills among women and children:” As I was watching the documentary, I cannot control tears in my eyes. Biafra: Igbos can’t exist on their own – Ohanaeze chieftain

Anambra State chapter of pan Igbo socio-cultural organization, Ohaneze Ndigbo, has dismissed the call for secession, saying Igbos cannot afford to exist alone. Speaking in Awka, the state capital, President of Ohaneze in the state, Chief Damian Okeke, explained that Igbos can’t leave Nigeria because they have investments all over the country. Okeke said rather than call for secession, agitators should use their pro-Biafra stand as a platform to demand a better life for people of the South East. He insisted that Igbo leaders will not support agitation that may lead to war. Okeke noted that anybody who witnessed the Civil War like he did, would not want to experience another war.
