Photos of a private jet that looks like a hotel, dubbed the "world's flying penthouse

The huge aircraft , dubbed ‘the flying penthouse’ features an entertainment and study lounge, dedicated dining spaces, an en-suite master bedroom with a 42-inch TV, a dressing room and an enormous hotel-style bathroom complete with a shower.

The plane is a remodelled Boeing 787 Dreamliner which is a commercial aircraft that carry between 240 and 335 passengers. But this one has been transformed into a 40-passenger private jet and is so well-equipped it resembles a flying hotel.

The aircraft, which is worth £230 million, is on display at the London airport as part of the launch  of bespoke travel packages by Deer Jet.
If you fancy taking a spin in the plane, it won’t come cheap.

The aircraft can be chartered for around £20,000 per hour, which makes a one way trip from Lagos to Abuja $74,000 (N27million) that's £500 per person if you filled the carrier with the maximum number of passengers.

And for the lucky few who are invited to step on-board, the in-flight experience is air-miles away from that offered on a typical Boeing flight.

The interior, co-developed by yacht and aircraft design specialists Pierrejean Design, has been kitted out with high domed ceilings, hardwood floors, sculptured hardwood doors and hand-crafted carpets.

Passengers can control the lighting, TV screens, window blinds and request attention from the flight attendants using tablets.

Designers were keen for the aircraft to stimulate the passengers’ senses.
To do this, they catered for smell and taste in the plane’s air distribution and filtration system and used soft, luxurious textures and banishing sharp edges.

The jet, which has been in development since 2009 and was unveiled at last year’s European Business Aviation Convention and Exhibition in Geneva, was bought by an undisclosed Asian client.
It has a 9,800 nautical mile range and can fly for more than 17 hours non-stop.
