popular Uyo based catholic priest and radio preacher known as Rev. Fr. Patrick Henry Edet announced his resignation from Catholic church, earlier today.
According to a report shared by Special Assistant on Media to Akwa Ibom State Governor, Aniekeme Finbarr, Fr. Patrick is really happy as he ceases to be a catholic priest in spirit and soul' . Read his post below...
''JUST IN: Catholic Priest, Rev. Fr. Patrick Henry Edet has resigned from the catholic priesthood, quits the Catholic Church. He says he should be addressed as Reverend Patrick Edet. And on a lighter note, he says he can still be called Fr.
"From Today Henceforth, I cease to be a Catholic Priest, in my spirit and in my soul... I forgive those who will criticize me, I live for God...I seek freedom for my soul. As I leave, I leave smiling, I AM SO HAPPY THAT I AM FREE".

Prosecutors in the United States have provided details of how Nigeria?s former minister of petroleum, Diezani Alison-Madueke, and her two businessmen-allies, Jide Omokore and Kola Aluko, squandered billions of naira on property and luxury items in the U.S. and UK. The US government accused Dieziani of collecting $144 million in assets as bribe from the businessmen in exchange of some oil deals worth over N1.5billion. The allegation was made in an ongoing civil case filed by the US department of Justice against Omokore and Aluko. Nigeria: 37 Feared Killed in Fresh Southern Kaduna Crisis

At least 37 people are feared killed and many others seriously injured in fresh crisis that broke out in Kajuru Local Government Area in Southern Kaduna. The latest trouble was said to have started since Sunday when some Fulani youths allegedly went to a village at Ugwan Uka to avenge the killing of their kinsman. Kajuru Local Government is about 50 kilometres from the state capital, Kaduna. The fresh killings show that the efforts by the government at the state and federal levels to check violence have not been effective. The umbrella body of Fulani, the Miyetti Allah Cattle Breeders Association of Nigeria on Saturday alleged that four of its members were killed by youths from the troubled Southern Kaduna. Acting President Yemi Osinbajo today received the founder of the Malala Fund and girls’ education activist, Malala Yousafzai at the Presidential Villa in Abuja. Malala, the Pakistani school girl who survived an attack by the Taliban, met with the Acting President at the State House in Abuja as part of activities to mark her visit to Nigeria which is the second in three years. Japanese Airline Confirms Future BTC Payment Option In The Works

Peach Aviation, a low-cost airline in Japan, has confirmed that their plan to allow   Bitcoin (BTC)   as payment is only delayed, not cancelled. Peach Aviation had   initially announced in May 2017   that customers would be able to use Bitcoin as a payment method by the end of the year. However, in December 2017, the plan was postponed until March 2018. The airline had   partnered with crypto exchange BITpoint Japan   for the new BTC payment system as well as for plans to open Bitcoin ATMs at airports around Japan. Japan has   recognized Bitcoin as a legal payment   method in the country since April 2017. The operatives of the Lagos State Task Force during an over-night patrol arrested a 31-year-old man who allegedly abducted a 6 months old baby girl, Darasimi Akinyemi at No 55, Oshodi Road, Oshodi, Lagos The Chairman of the Lagos State Task Force SP Olayinka Egbeyemi disclosed that the suspect identified as Idama Endurance would have been lynched to death but the quick intervention of his men who were on duty saved the situations. East African singer, Diamond Platumz's babymama, Zari Hassan has lost her mom Halima Hassan. This is coming barely two months after the death of her ex-husband, Ivan Semwanga. Few weeks ago, Zari announced that her mom was critically ill and asked her fans to pray for her. She died in the early hours of today.
