Different people, Different Cultures! So there is a Crying Baby Contest (Naki Sumo) that holds in Japan every year. This year, the competition held at the Shinto shrine in Yokohama, near Tokyo on Monday July 17th. The contest pairs up little toddlers with sumo wrestlers who will attempt to get the babies to cry. The toddler who cries the longest and loudest is crowned the winner. As bizarre as it may be, the crying baby contest has been practised by Japenese indigenes for well over 400 years. Japanese parents voluntarily bring their babies to the contest, and truly believe that sumo-induced crying keeps their children in good health.

Groom Marries Bride Wearing Ordinary T-Shirt and Shorts After This Happened (Photo)

A friend of the groom shared the photo of him wearing a t-shirt and short while kissing his bride A groom has been forced  by circumstance to wed his bride wearing just a t-shirt and shorts. This happened after Delta Airlines lost his luggage. On the t-shirt, he shared his predicament writing: 'This wedding suit is courtesy of Delta Airlines'. According to Dailymail, the unidentified newlywed was on a flight from Washington DC to Iceland where his ceremony was due to take place, but his luggage somehow later turned up in Frankfurt. Instead of buying a replacement suit, the man simply wore a pair of shorts and a T-Shirt, emblazoned with the barbed  message. The image was submitted to Reddit by a friend of the bride and has since gone viral. Olu Onagoruwa, former attorney-general, suffered a stroke after his son was brutally killed by the military - Many civil and human rights activist have continues to mourn the demise of Onagoruwa considered as one of them Nigeria’s former attorney-general, Dr Olu Onagoruwa is dead. Onagoruwa, a known human rights activist, was said to have died in the early hours of Friday, July 21 at age 80. The former Attorney-General of the Federation under the military government between 1993 and 1994 was said to have suffered a stroke following the brutal killing of his son by the military. Respected across Africa, Onagoruwa was part of those who drafted the Ethiopian constitution in 1994. The lawyer reportedly studied at the University of London for his LL.B; LL.M and PhD degrees. He returned to Nigeria to attend the Law School. Update On Kaduna Clash: Over 400 Displaced, Death Toll Rises To 40

The death toll in the communal crisis that occurred between a Fulani settlement and Kadara community in Kajuru Local Government Area of Kaduna State has risen to 40. This is as the victims have appealed to the Kaduna State Government to help them get over the shock from the attack as well as arrest the perpetrators. The attack has so far displaced about 400 indigenes of the community including women and children who are scared of going back to their homes for fear of a fresh attack. Residents say the crisis was as a result of a misunderstanding between two persons which eventually snowballed into a heavy conflict leading to loss of lives and property. The latest incident is coming barely five days after the Southern Kaduna Peoples Union and Fulani groups held a peace and reconciliatory meeting where the two parties agreed to shield their swords and to live together. Scientist who discovered HIV says efforts for cure underway

Francoise Barre-Sinoussi [Photo: CNN.com] A Nobel Laureate, Francoise Barre-Sinoussi, says efforts are ongoing to develop a universal cure for HIV and cancer through collaboration. Barre-Sinoussi, a co-discoverer of the HIV, said this in Paris while conducting some select journalists on a tour of the sophisticated laboratories at Institut Pasteur. The News Agency of Nigeria reports that Barre-Sinoussi and Luc Montagnier co-discovered the HIV in 1983. She also stated that the HIV Cure and Cancer Forum would on Saturday be inaugurated at the Institut Curie in Paris. “Efforts are now underway to determine if these cancer therapies can be used to build up the immune system of patients with HIV. “This will be in such a way that HIV patients can achieve a durable and perhaps life-long treatment–free state of remission,’’ she said. The South Korean  megahit  had been the site's most-played clip for the last five years. The surreal video became so popular that it  "broke" YouTube's play counter , exceeding the maximum possible number of views (2,147,483,647), and forcing the company to  rewrite its code . But the song has now been overtaken by another music video - Wiz Khalifa and Charlie Puth's  See You Again . The heart-wrenching ballad has now been streamed 2,895,373,709 times; beating Psy's current count of 2,894,426,475 views. Adding it up, that means See You Again has been streamed for a total of 21,759 years. If one person was to listen to each of those streams consecutively, they'd have to have started during the glacial peak of the last Ice Age.
